Response to the letter
Letter from the Principal

TO:Joe Black, Lead Custodian

From:The Principal

Date:October 26

Subject:Confidential
After reading your letter I was in a state of shock for a period of time because it is actually a matter of our school’s reputation and I really want to look at it in detail to rectify the actual issue so that best possible outcomes can be generated. Therefore, I have decided to go for a plan of action so that this stated problem can be highlighted as soon as possible and further we will be in a state of position to question Mr. Smithson as well. For this I do require your assistance as well in order to solve this serious issue as soon as possible. I am grateful to you for highlighting this issue and further it will be my key responsibility to look at every single detail of it. Signed

The Principal

Plan of action
Below mentioned is a proper as well as a detailed plan of action in order to solve the stated issue and to come up with best possible solution as well. In order to solve the stated issue, I will first of all observe myself the attitude of Mr. Smithson towards female students so that can actually know the truth behind the letter. Therefore my target will be first to observe the situation without knowing Mr. Smithson about the whole issue. By this, I can actually rectify the problem and can further move on with it (King, 1976). As a matter of fact every working environment does require some proper methods as well as regulations in order to come up with some potential outcomes. In this regard for me the matter of concern is to see what the actual problem is and how I can resolve it. In this allegation, rights of students are involved so that every student can feel comfortable and can study in peace and harmony. For this purpose, safety as well as security should be given to every student in order to protect their rights. In this regard, harassment and discrimination is termed as one of a serious issue and all the rules as well as regulations related to the harassment police and procedures are actually applied in this regard. The stated matter in the letter pin points the issue that is actually related to the case of harassment and as a matter of fact students are not aware from this issue at this point of time. But, it is our core responsibility to look at detail of it in order to solve it as soon as possible. In this case, formal investigation is required as well as it is warranted too. But, before going towards the formal investigation, proper actions should be taken and for this purpose relevant material as well as evidences should be gathered so that investigation can be termed as a stronger one. And if proper investigation is followed up, then it is for sure termed as warranted (Heller, 2011). In order to move towards a proper investigation, I would like to follow below mentioned plan with a proper time line: (a)Gather relevant information and feedbacks from the staff members (b)Gather feedback from students regarding Mr. Smithson

(c)Will look at background of Mr. Smithson
(d)Will conduct interviews with students
(e)Will further move on for a proper decision based on all the data collected Moreover, for this purpose some time is for sure required and I will also like to solve this matter properly as well. Therefore two to three weeks will be required and to solve this whole case around one month will be required. In order to move onward with proper as well as well organized investigation, I would like teachers as well as students to participate in it. The reason why I will go for teachers is in order to have their feedback regarding Mr. Smithson and students along with this can actually tell me what they feel about Mr. Smithson. Moreover, I will try to keep this investigation confidential as well in order to be safe from any other issue. In this investigation, I will not involve parents because as a matter of fact parents are very sensitive as well as concern for their children, therefore they can further ruin the case. In order to have a proper as well as a well organized investigation, I will choose best students who are responsible and will also keep my investigation confidential. Purpose behind this is that I can actually rely on those students who are good in academics and are well aware from every situation as well. On the other hand, from staff I will choose senior teachers so that they can give me best opinions and can tell me truth as well. Will try not to involve the new staff because they are actually not aware from things and thus will also not create any hurdles as well. Conducting an interview is no matter a tough task and I will conduct them in a confidential manner in order to be safe from further issues. In this regard one to one interviews will be best and every student as well as teacher will be given with strict instructions to keep this confidential. In order to maintain confidentiality of the interviews and the allegation, agreement will be signed by the staff as well as by the students in order to be safe from any further issues and problems (Gideonse, 1992). As per the reputation of my school, my aim is actually to enhance its growth as well as position and not to ruin its status.

Therefore, my aim will be solve this issue in peace and harmony and in this regard I will communicate this issue to media as well as to the community is an organized way. I will come up with a proper conclusion and will try not to ruin Mr. Smithson position as well. Thus, solving this matter peacefully is essential and I want to solve this in such a way that Mr. Smithson can also know what he have done wrong and thus he is the one who will face the consequences.

Abstract
Personal and institutional rights are termed as the two core elements that should be highlighted in every working environment in order to ensure proper safety as well as protection. In this regard, schools are also responsible for this main concern and every staff member has a right to have proper as well as adequate personal as well as institutional right. As a matter of fact, being a principal my core responsibility is to see how my staff members are working and whether students are comfortable with them or not. In short, productivity should be positive and in an effective manner. Along with this, I should also keep in mind that every staff member is protected and being given by proper personal as well as institutional right. If at any point of time, any of my staff member feels inadequacy in any of the rights, he or she may move ahead with his or her decision. Along with this, in order to do proper investigation, relevant evidences should also be gathered in order to make the case strong enough and besides this, Mr. Smithson’s rights should be kept aside so that proper decisions can be made without any issues and problems. In this regard, legal actions as stated by the courts of law should be followed properly and in a proper manner. Mr. Smithson’s hard work should be appreciated as well and whatsoever case is against him will further be looked in detail as well. This is thus termed as a suitable as well as an appropriate method with the help of which best possible decision can be made without any further issues and problems and by this Mr. Smithson will also feel somehow safe as well and will only be answerable to those allegations only (Wise, 1982).

Legal Issues in Education Benchmark Assessment and Rubric

Mr. Smithson is no doubt one of a very old staff member working for our school and he is the responsible person as well. Along with studies he has been always involved in various other activities only to enhance the productivity of our school and to come up with something really positive. After having a glance at overall case, my responsibility being a principal is and should be to first have a proper working as well as investigation on the whole scenario and along with this my aim should be to keep this thing very confidential. Along with this, every single right of Mr. Smithson should also be protected as well. Based on the investigation, I can move forward with the recommended decision but his rights should not be hurt (Law ; Glover, 2000). As a matter of fact, rules and regulations for every environment are termed to be necessary elements and should be followed properly in order to generate potential as well as effective outcomes. In this scenario as mentioned, Mr. Smithson is responsible for the allegation as done by him and in this regard he will for sure bear the consequences. In this matter of concern, Mr. Smithson is responsible to see what so ever he has done with or without intention and in this matter he is answerable as well. Along with this, I being the responsible person should also look at other important areas as well. As mention in the case, Mr. Smithson has been working with our school since 15 years and being an old teacher he do have various set of rights as well as responsibilities. Despite all his acts, he is no doubt one of a responsible teacher who has been involved in after school sports as well and did a lot of work also. In this regard, he does have various rights and I should look at all of them as well. With regard to the allegation, his rights as well as responsibilities should keep a part from the consequences so that he can also feel somehow protected. This is the main issue that should be highlighted and in this regard Mr. Smithson is also responsible to answer every query as well. During the course of investigation, I will try my level best to protect Mr. Smithson’s rights as well as responsibilities in order to feel him safe as well.

As per the case, Mr. Smithson is a 27 year old teacher who is young and this is also termed as one of the main reason why he has been involved in such acts. Thus, my core responsibility is to look at each and every detail of the case and then should move forward with the investigation. Along with this, Mr. Smithson’s rights should be protected as well because his hard work and dedication should never be included in this investigation. No matter he has done wrong acts and is therefore responsible as well and will bear the consequences too (Flippo, et.al, 2009). If at any point of time, Mr. Smithson feels that his rights are not equally protected, he is thus liable to file case as well by keeping the charges aside. But, as a matter of fact our core responsibility is to first keep all his rights protected and then should move forward with the investigation. If during the course of investigation, by any means Mr. Smithson’s rights are not fully protected, several charges will be then directed towards us and this will be one of the major issue as well. Therefore as per the rules and regulations as decided by the courts of law, every investigation should be done in an appropriate manner by looking at every single matter in detail so that no further issues can be created. Proper investigation is no doubt required but protecting the rights of Mr. Smithson is also very much essential. Therefore, proper measures should be taken in order to do proper investigation by keeping the rights of Mr. Smithson protected as well. I would like to add few concluding remarks by highlighting some key points. Aim of every head of institution is actually to make his or her institute effective enough so that best possible outcomes can be generated. For this purpose very single act should be done in an appropriate manner and every staff member thus plays a key role in this perspective. As a matter of fact, every staff member should see how he or she is working, whether following the rights as well as principles properly and whether doing any wrong act or not. If every staff member evaluates himself or herself on a regular basis, positive outcomes can then for sure be generated and in the end potential outcomes can be generated. Along with this, being a principal of the school my core responsibility is to see whether every right as well as responsibility of the staff member is fully protected and in what manner they are being appreciated. As per one of the latest research, appreciation is very important in order to come up with best possible outcomes. Along with this, my area of concern should be to keep an eye on every single thing so that can protect students as well. If in this manner, every strategy is followed properly, best possible outcomes can for sure be generated without facing any further issues and problems (Conley, 2010). Mr. Smithson is no doubt one of a very old staff member working for our school and he is the responsible person as well.
