America we used this freedom for a

America is a nation built on the beliefs and ideals that a man is free. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Arguably the first amendment is the most important of all 27 amendments because it guarantees citizens freedom used in everyday life. The First Amendment is the most important to maintain a democratic government. If the first amendment right was never ratified, we might be living in a nation that separates us on our race, sex or age. Through this amendment, the people have caused such enormous changes that even other nations have taken notice and adopted similar laws and policies.  Some of  the 5 freedoms our more important than others like Freedom of speech. That is why i am telling you the 3 most important freedoms in the first amendments.I think the three most important freedoms is freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, and the freedom of Assmbly. These three freedoms to me our the most cherished freedoms. The most important freedom in the first amendment is the freedom of speech. It allows us to express our opinion and speak freely is essential to bring about change in society.I believe free speech has always been important because we used this freedom for a fight for change.this ability to speak but also to hear other voices to. Josie Timms states  that “Freedom of speech is one of the most precious and important human rights. A free society depends on the free exchange of ideas. Nearly all ideas are capable of giving offence to someone. Many of the most important, profound ideas in human history, such as those of Galileo Galilei and Charles Darwin, caused great religious offence in their time.” To me this quote is important because without this freedom America wouldn’t be a free country .That the most important ideas that came from people used this freedom to say those kinds of words. If you look back in history you will see people like MLK or malcolm X say speeches to make a change to things like equal rights for non white people. The fundamental belief that the founding fathers had was that a guarantee of free speech to the people would result in a bunch of ideas in which the best ideas stood out from others. Free speech is the only way to get knowledge about the world. Perhaps the greatest discovery in human history. To truly appreciate the protection of these beliefs, we have to consider a time when citizens never had them. Imagine yourself living in Soviet Russia during Stalin’s rain in power. During this time, all course of dissent from citizens was punished brutally. From purges to death camps, anyone that disagreed with the Soviets was quickly silenced. Freedom of speech gives us the ability to fact check, to research, and to disagree with the government – and to then protects us by allowing anyone to speak out against it.Freedom of speech allows everyone the ability, and the encouragement, to challenge all beliefs. It presents the basic building block of every other virtue and human right we have.If we lose this important freedom, we will lose much more than just freedom of speech. We will lose our humanity. To me the second most important right to me is the Freedom of the Press. In a place like the U.S. the people want to have the right to know the happenings in government. The press serves as the people’s check on government. If there’s something the people should know, you can be sure that journalists already be reporting on it.Without freedom of press, we have no protection. For a democracy to work, the citizens are the ones who are deciding who gets elected into office need to be well-informed. Press teaches voters telling them about the going-ons in government and giving updates on political candidates. The Watergate scandal is a great example of media keeping the government in check. The Watergate scandal was uncovered by two young journalists for The Washington post. This was a major turning point for the field of journalism, one where America realized just how powerful the media could  relly be.Freedom of the press is not just important for the media, but important for every American citizen. We should be more than thankful to live in a country where we have this right, one that so many people around the world do not. Not only that but even without this freedom could be a lost of many jobs like news anchors or writers. We get all this information on things you probably need for things like to type essays like me today. In America I can go and say  something about the government that’s true but in other countries like North Korea, the government prohibits the exercise of these rights in practice, unless it is in praise of the country and its government and leader. For example was the death of Kim Jong-il, news of which was not told until two days after it occurred Opposed to the U.S. when 9-11 was happening viewer on live television was told of this breaking news immediately. So Without this freedom how are you going to access this information?  Lastly I believe the third best freedom in the 1st amendment The rights to freedom of assembly are possablie the most important human rights that we have.Simply put, these rights protect people’s ability to come together and work for the common good. They are for the exercise of many other cultural, economic, political and social rights  allowing people to express their political opinions take part in artistic pursuits, engage in religious observances, form and join trade unions, elect leaders to represent their interests and hold them accountable. The right to freedom of peaceful assembly is the right to gather publicly or privately and collectively express, promote, pursue and defend common interests. This right includes the right to participate in peaceful assemblies, meetings, protests, strikes, demonstrations and other temporary gatherings for a specific purpose.Everyone has the right to peaceful assembly. States may not limit this right for certain groups based on race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or, birth or any other status. we used this freedom usally when we want a change in something they agree or disagree in.Not all countries around the world have the freedom to assemble.Communist countries such as China,Vietam, and North Korea do not allow freedom of assembly for political groups opposed to the government, and they also limit freedom for a religious groups. The Freedom of Assembly has often been used in American history by groups that want to effect social change, such as civil rights groups, women’s suffrage groups and labor unions. They have all successfully argued that they have the right to assemble. This is why THe freedom of assmbly is important to make this conutry a democrasy.
